Available now

At present we're working on commissions and starting some instruments ready for festivals in 2012. However, we have some instruments in stock and available for immediate purchase.

Commissions

Each instrument we make is unique. If you see something you like on the website and wish to order a similar instrument, or if you're looking for something a little bit different and would like an instrument made to your specific requirements, just e-mail info@smallstrings.co.uk, use the Contact form on this website or tel. 01890 817013.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required for all commissions.

Festivals

We're planning to have a stall at several festivals during 2012. Those on the list so far are:

• BAAFest Music Festival (Bellingham, Northumberland, 4-6 May)
• Acoustic Festival of Great Britain (Uttoxeter, 25-27 May)
• Beverley (Yorkshire, 15-17 June)
• Whitby Folk Week (North Yorkshire, 18-24 August)
• Fylde Folk Festival (Fleetwood, Lancs., 31 August-2 September) (tbc)
• Scots Fiddle Festival (Edinburgh, November) (tbc)

Stockists

You'll often find a few of our instruments on sale at The Music Room in Cleckheaton. At present they have in stock two octave mandolas (one with maple back and sides, the other with rosewood) and a kit fiddle (in golden brown). Please note that they may not all be on the Music Room's website; search for Mawby to find them.

Payment

We are happy to accept payment by cheque (although we will not start work on commissions or despatch your instrument until the cheque has cleared). We can also accept payment over the phone and at festivals by most major credit/debit cards.
